OUR COMPANY
Villa Vino Rača as was established in May 2004 after changing the legal form of the Rača agricultural cooperative, whose roots date back to 1949. Our vines grow on the warm and sunny southeastern slopes of the picturesque and distinctive Little Carpathian landscape. The harmony of the soil composition of our vineyards and the specificities of individual varieties V. vinifera is reflected in the inimitable originality of our white and red wines. Grape harvests are limited and during the harvest we carry out a selection of the grapes. Our wine production is guided by the commands of the elements of oenological modernity. Pneumatic pressing of grapes, settling of musts, physical and biological regulation of fermentation with our own strains Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a matter of course in our production process.
In the case of perfectly ripe grapes, collected in small crates, our winery is the only one in Slovakia to use a picking table, where the picked grapes are checked once again and, if necessary, damaged berries are removed, ensuring the perfect quality of the final product. The result of consistently followed technological procedures are optimally balanced wines that have not only a clean aroma with a distinct varietal character, but also a fresh and delicious taste. Thanks to these attributes, Račianska wine is popular even among more demanding consumers and lovers of this drink of kings.

HISTORY
The viticulture and winemaking company Villa Vino Rača, as, derived its name from the original name of the village Villa de Récse from 1322. In these places, grape vine growing has a tradition dating back to the times of the Roman legions, which were based along the Danube River.
Over the centuries, the most famous product from Rača has become Račianska frankovka - a red wine, which, according to the donation deed of Maria Theresa in 1767, was recognized as a drink suitable for the royal table. Modern research has shown that Račianska Frankovka modrá has a high content of resveratrol, which has a very beneficial effect on human health thanks to its antioxidant and antibacterial effects.
The original cooperative, founded in 1949, was a significant supplier of grapes for the Rača Winery until the end of the 80s, where originality and origin were lost in anonymous wines.
In the early 90s, the cooperative gradually stopped selling grapes and began building its own processing capacities. Market demands required a gradual transition to bottled production and modernization of production.
RAČA - THE CAPITAL OF FRANCONIA
In the southeastern heart of the Little Carpathians lies a treasure that has shaped the character of Slovak viticulture and wine culture for centuries. From Celts and Slavs to German, Jewish and Croatian immigrants - the vineyards of Račiansk have retained their uniqueness. Despite the development of the capital, the best vineyards have been preserved, which today provide the raw material for world-class wines.
Račianska Frankovka is our flagship. It is an iconic wine that perfectly reflects the genius loci of our vineyards. Račianska Frankovka is made from the Frankovka modrá variety with an exclusively Račianska pedigree. Maria Theresa also loved Frankovka, and in the 18th century she granted her a decree allowing Račianska Frankovka to be served at the Viennese imperial court. Our Račianska Frankovka comes from
The Krivé vineyard covers an area of 4,86 hectares and is made up of weathered granite. This vineyard is one of the best locations for growing Frankovka in Slovakia.
