Villa Vino Rača won the prestigious Winery of the Year 2025 award

Villa Vino Rača has received the prestigious award Winery of the Year 2025. This award is an expression and recognition of the extraordinary qualities of winegrowing and winemaking in Slovakia. Every year, it is awarded to wineries that stand out for the quality of their wines, their innovative approach and their contribution to the development of Slovak viticulture and winemaking.

The Winery of the Year award is awarded based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes the quality of the wines produced, the sustainability of production, the brand presentation and the overall contribution to Slovak wine culture. The winner is selected from among the best Slovak wineries based on the evaluation of an expert jury.

Villa Vino Rača is a well-known Slovak winery that combines traditional winemaking practices with the latest technologies.  It specializes in the production of quality varietal wines that best express the character of the Račiansky region. Račianska Frankovka is made from the Frankovka modrá variety with an exclusively Račianska pedigree. Maria Theresa also loved Frankovka, in the 18th century she granted her a decree allowing Račianska Frankovka to be served at the Viennese imperial court. Račianska Frankovka from Villa Vino Rača comes from the Krivé farm with an area of ​​4,86 hectares, the subsoil is made of weathered granite. This vineyard is one of the best locations for growing Frankovka in Slovakia.
